The hidden truth

The hidden truth

“But at the beginning of creation God ‘made them male and female.” Mark 10:16

The manifestation of all that is twisted and wrong with the broken world we all live in, has not changed much since the beginning of time. Two things have changed, however, in my lifetime, the results of which cause me great concern for the world my grandchildren will inherit.

When I was a child, the truth had little to do with what I felt was the truth. Truth had to match reality, and reality was defined by God. Secondly, when someone decided to openly defy God’s truth reality, it was shunned not embraced and celebrated.

Shame on ESPN, for deciding to give an award meant to signify courage accompanied by great accomplishment, to Bruce Jenner, a former great Olympian, who has now decided to become a women. Upon hearing the news, Bruce tweeted, “What the hell am I going to wear?” I’m not laughing!

An ESPN executive producer said, “The ESPYS are honored to celebrate Bruce becoming Caitlyn. She has shown the courage to (pay close attention to this statement) embrace a truth that had been hidden for years.” And there you have it. The truth is not that Bruce is a man – though clearly he is. The truth is whatever he feels that it should be. He discovered the hidden truth that God really made him a women.

Now, if that were the only societal “new normal” it would be one thing, but no, there’s more. And it’s this one that will ultimately turn everything upside down. Today, it’s not enough to simply accept someone’s personal decision to defy God’s natural order sexually. You must agree with their decision, and celebrate it. If you show distain, or disagreement, you’re committing a hate crime.

Here’s the real hidden truth. Those who consider themselves transgendered are suffering from what is still recognized as a mental disorder. In the Wall Street Journal, psychiatrist Paul McHugh writes that “the transgendered suffer a disorder of assumption like . . . other disorders familiar to psychiatrists.”

For instance, those who suffer from anorexia are convinced that they are overweight, even when they are unhealthily skinny.

McHugh also said that in a similar way, a man’s belief that he is really a woman (or vice versa) also “does not correspond with physical reality,” and if not properly treated “can lead to grim psychological outcomes.” Sweden’s Karolinska Institute would confirm that. They found that the suicide rate for those who had undergone gender reassignment surgery is 20-fold higher.

Here’s another hidden truth – from studies at both Vanderbilt University and Portman Clinic in London—70 to 80 percent of children who report transgender feelings “spontaneously lost those feelings.”

But the LGBT community refuses to let the facts get in the way of feelings, teaching that observable physical reality has nothing to do with what it means to be male and female.

And that’s why the prophet Isaiah said, “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.”
